Whatever they get for these materials is often then deducted from the cost of your demolition job. Items they could recycle or salvage include anything - like bricks, doors, windows as well as kitchen and bathroom fittings. This recycling focused approach is becoming more common as it keeps valuable building materials out of landfill - which is a win-win.

More demolition contractors are taking a recycling focused approach when it comes to salvaging building materials. There is a move in the industry to keep valuable materials out of landfill, which is wasteful and has a long term impact on the environment. Demolition contractors who work on a ‘with salvage rights’ basis will often recycle and sell the items they salvage from your property, and discount from your overall cost.
